I just received a used Walkabout Scout that i purchased from someone on this forum last week and was wondering how loud the volume can be cranked? I'm afraid to crank the volume pass 3 o'clock. Has anyone gone higher?

What about a guitar? Is humidity bad for it? I had always thought the opposite.

I've also wondered the same about used walkabouts. I just purchased a used walkabout scout that is 5-6 years old. It has the seperate active/passive inputs rather than the switch. Should i have anything to worry about? And are there any other differences between the new and old ones...

rbonner, you might be on to something. I just recently had my basement finished. Ever since i started playing down there is when i noticed this problem. I will run out to home depot like you suggested and test the outlet. I am crossing my fingers that this is the problem.

One thing i noticed is that the noise reduces as i turn down the treble on either the guitar or the amp.

I have the same problem. My amp creates a humming noise at high volumes. When i touch the strings on my guitar, the humming goes away. Whats the cause and is there a remedy?

Sterling, I'm currently running my BDDI through my amps effects return. You need to control the volume through the BDDI. The BDDI doesn't work if i just plug it into my amps input.
