    Are all Hartke HA3500's junk?

I recently bought a HA3500, sight unseen and it has exactly this problem. Very low volume. I use a Rumble 210 400w cabinet. When I change the head for my backup head (Behringer Ultrabass 3000...300w) everything is fine. Same bass, same leads, same cab, only difference is the head. So now I have...

    Teaching a newbie

I taught him how to tune (by ear and with a tuner), explained the semi tones to a scale, 5 semis to the next string and showed him how to do a major scale without moving using 4 fingers....oh and told him to start plucking using alternating fingers. Won't see him again for a couple of months so...

    Teaching a newbie

My skill level is what I'd call lower intermediate. Been playing guitar for many years, bass for a couple (and loving it). I have a mate who is a drummer and he's been donated a cheap bass and practice amp and he wants to learn bass....and has asked me for tips. Apart from timing (he's a...

    Power/impedance

Never would. I just would like to know what my output would be just using the BX3000T through the 210 box. I only use the 210 box with the Rumble 200 to get more headroom. If I wanted to run both amps I'd do it with a line out from the BX3000T/210 cab to the Rumble 200.....but that won't happen.

    Power/impedance

Hi. I normally run a Rumble 200 combo and a Rumble 210 cab to get the full 200watts. I recently picked up a Behringer (hold the flames...hehe) BX3000T for peanuts for a backup amp. It's actually a great sounding, versatile amp. I did check with my amp guy and he said Behringer have some...

    Fender Rumble Club

Been lurking for a couple of months now, thought it was time I joined. I played guitar in bands for nearly 20 years and then life changed (as it does) and I quit playing, sold my gear and got on with life. 20 years later and I'm working at a place driving shuttle buses and a couple of the guys...

    Octaver question

Yup, I know what you're saying, there is just a few songs that it doesn't sound right. e.g.....Long Train Running is in G....the bass line starts on low G and does octave runs. Guitarist wants to do it in D....the octave runs lack depth and punch at the top 5th/7th fret D and G string. I'm just...

    Octaver question

Thanks for all the input guys. I've been madly researching YouTube and reviews. All I really want is to add a little depth when I have to transpose to a higher key to suit the guitarist. It's only for half a dozen songs. I think I've managed to score a secondhand MXR Bass Octave Deluxe for $100...

    Octaver question

Hi, I'm relatively new to bass. I play a Marcus Miller P7 through a Fender Rumble 200 plus a 210 cab. My guitar player has a tendency to want to do songs (we're a cover band) in different keys to the original and in some songs that requires me to play up to 7 steps higher which leaves the bass...

    Which 210 cab?

Deal done...bought a new Rumble 210 cab. Sounds great, looks the part and gives me the required headroom. At gig volume the volume knob has gone from 2.00 o'clock to about 11.00 o'clock. Thanks for the feedback...

    Which 210 cab?

Yes I did wonder about the voicing thing. Also I've read a bit about mixing cabs. I just wondered whether the Rumble cab would be a better fit for the amp. I'm new to bass but gobbling the info as fast as I can.

    Which 210 cab?

Hi, old muso, new to bass. I have a Rumble 200 combo and I'd like to put a 210 cabinet under it for a little more headroom. I was looking at a new Rumble 210 but someone has offered me a second hand Hartke 210 XL. I tend to like the more rounded vintage sound. Which way should I go...(I'm also...

    Old muso, new to bass.

Hi all. I played guitar in bands, mostly Blues and R&B, for 20 years then life changed as it does, and I sold all my gear and "retired". Now 20 years later I've got the bug again. Bought replacement guitar gear and started mucking around with some guys and realised we needed a bassist....so here...
