    Yes. I trimmed off some of the fuzzy bits at the upper ends of the strings. :)

    I am using the medium gauge. Sounds good. Avoid putting too many winds around the tuner posts and it tunes just fine. I overwrapped one or two posts at first and it was hard to turn the tuning keys. It may not make an experienced DB player happy, but it works for me. :hmm:

    I put some D'Addario Helicores on my WAV4 and it really helps bring it closer to a jazz upright IMHO. Which is what I'm after. My Fishman Platinum also helps big time ... it seems to help take out some of that nasty piezo noise. :hyper:

    Just picked up a WAV at The Bass Place in Scottsdale, AZ. They had a black one that may still be there. Sounds OK in my Ampeg BA 210, but I think it needs the preamp and the Helicore strings for this amp, Unfortunately, that will take a couple of months as I recover from buying this...
