Ampeg PF 500 vs TC Electronic BH 500

Hey I was wondering if anyone had played any of these? And if so what youre opinions are? There's a website offering the BH 500 with two 4x10 cabs for £750. Surely there has to be some sort of catch?

    Line 6 LD 410 Cabinet

Hey.. I saw this online and was quite impressed with its features considering its price. I'm not a major fan of line 6 amps due to their very electronic sorta sound, but I'm just hoping this isn't a problem with the cab itself lol. Any one got any insight? Thanks

    Boss ME-50B help...

I've been having a bit of problem getting the sounds i want. I play in a punk band, but in my spare time I'd play alot of prog, so it proves very handy to have all my patches setup right. So i want a treble-y Fat Mike type sound, and a smoother Geddy Lee type sound. I can get one or the other...

    Amp Advice Needed

Yeah, i'd go to belfast every once in a while. The music shops there aren't bad for a guitarists need, but us bassists are at a slight loss :( If you wanted to by a bass, you'd have plenty to choose from, but there selection of bass amps really isn't worth talking about. My friend did...

I'll give that a try. That's what i did before getting my ME-50B actually, seemed to be a pretty decent way of doing things. Thanks!

I'm not even sure if there's any shops in the country sell this amp... :( There's one or two decent guitar shops, but they don't really have an awful lot of bass stuff. But i'll take a look anyway.

I had a few questions on how to develop technique while playing covers.

I suggest learning scales. They help with your finger positioning, your speed and your knowledge of the fretboard. Plus, they're really useful to know. Learning songs is good, but i'd suggest learning some theory too, even if it's only the basics. It'll give you so much more understanding of...

I was looking at the 300W version, which i presume is more or less the same as the 150. Thanks :D

Rather than playing along with the song, you should try watching the bassist. You can pick up some valuable lessons. And i wouldn't just stick with Slayer stuff, it's fast, but there's only so much you can learn from it. Try learning some Blues. Blues is a true asset to any bass player
