Thanks Ragin, I understand the cabinet, wood and design, but is there a sacrifice in the driver size and is it sound or volume?
I'm not questioning the integrity of your sound, I'm really looking for a good combo to add to my arsenal.
I looked this combo up GK says this it only weighs 38 lbs! Is this correct? How can they make this combo so light when my Ampeg SVE-115 weighs 72 lbs without a head?
I promise I'm not trying to make you or anyone else ill:)
Honestly I had to look up the word jobber...I'm not highly educated.
I thought long and hard about this before getting involved in any other projects. If I see any conflicts coming down the road I'll slow down.
So far I've helped...
I've been in my band (classic rock and dance covers) for 7 years and not gigging allot right now and I wanted to play more.
Started looking on CL for gigs about 8 weeks ago and picked up a gig doing a benefit concert to raise money to help less fortunate kids buy equipment to play sports...
Notice I said "OR"
I meant no disrespect. I'm playing with three different projects lugging my Ampeg 4X10 classic and my GK 1001 to all the different practices.
I even took the 1001 out of the rack just to lighten the load between gigs. So I completely understand.
Have you ever noticed when you wash your car it seems to run and drive better?
I have noticed the more attention I give my bass the better it plays.
Is it just in the mind or is it positive energy in the cosmos?
If what you believe makes you a better player, keep believing it.
Thanks guys. I guess what I'm starting to figure out is these are more for the gear junky or someone that is jumping from club to club trying to lighten the load.
Am I right? Kinda like everyone wants the newest I phone technology when it comes out whether they need a new phone or not...
Crank up some disco in a club full of chicks with a few drinks in them and you got yourself a party.
One of the most popular cover bands in Little Rock, AR right now plays allot of disco and they can pack out a club.
Okay people. I've been trying to find time to read up on this whole tiny amp phenomenon, just not sure about it all yet.
Can someone sum this all up for me. Will these little amps ( such as the MBF 800) be replacing larger amps...kind of like the iPod replacing the Walkman or CD players...
I've had the same problem. The more I studied the things that I loved about watching live music i realized the more the performers looked like they were enjoying themselves the more I enjoy it. It has helped me with my stage presence.
