I just picked up a near new mb500 for $310. I wanted something bigger than my 400rb (older 200 watt version) for bigger gigs. I'm really impressed. I love this amp. My only complaint is it has just speakon jacks, not the combo jacks. And for only $310 super minty. And I only paid $99 for the 400rb about a year ago from GC.

Just sold all my Markbass gear, and opted for this very light, very versatile setup. Two GK MB115 II combos stacked with an AB-Y switch.
Thank you very much. I found it at GC. This model isn't even in the 1001RB-II manual. Just the 115 and 210 combos are. The tilt back wheels and telescoping handle really make it easy to move around. If you find one, I would certainly recommend it.
Quick question for you guys. Has anyone have any experience with the MB112 II and MB115II combos? I'm looking for a GK combo to take to rehearsals and small gigs instead of my MBF800/212NEO rig. I think i tried a MB112II combo in a store a while back and remember not being overly impressed with it's volume.
I think they can get quite loud. Not loud enough for me. But it's got the DI on it so you could have the FOH help you. I think it'd be good for practice and small gigs. It all depends on what your definition of loud and not too much umfp is. I played those combos in my local GC too. I thought they got up there pretty good.

The MB115 II is loud enough for rehearsals with my classic rock band, but I wouldn't trust it for a gig unless I had pa support. I bought two that I will stack for shows.
The MB112 is great for home/rehearsals - but for gigs I use a MBFusion & MB212 -still portable and light. The MB112 doesn't quite cut it against drums.

I have a friend in Brasil (im Portuguese) and he is veryy skeptical about class D amp (he call the D class as "deception class" lol)
He call the D class as "deception class" because the D class amps clipp too soon. For example, if you push a little bit in master or gain, the red light off clipping appear...
what is your experience? I will need a VERY loud amp...

I got so frustrated by missing the 5th 400RB as well as a few 700RB's that I ordered an MB500 (same price as a new 400 and $100 less than the 700).
If this doesn't have power off it goes.
I had a TH500 and it had tons of power and head room.
I think quality digital power depends on the amp manufacturer's design.

At half volume I still get told to turn down at rehearsals (hard rock, two guitars and drums) when using the MB212. By the sound of it you need a MBFusion 800

I looked this combo up GK says this it only weighs 38 lbs! Is this correct? How can they make this combo so light when my Ampeg SVE-115 weighs 72 lbs without a head?

I always use the built in limiter on my MBF500, and haven't noticed any clipping issues.
That rig will be very loud, make sure you use the pad if you are driving it with an active bass.

I'm not questioning the integrity of your sound, I'm really looking for a good combo to add to my arsenal.

Amazing since after 30 years, I've only owned a GK combo amp.
After some testing I will sell 2 amps; if these sound great, I have plenty of Ampegs to part with.
The secret is in the Neo-magnet drivers, class D power amp, and carefully-braced thin-wall construction.
How they sound relative to the other G-K lines, is a matter of taste.
I would say the biggest question mark about gigging the combo out, is how you transport your gear.
Lightweight cabs sound good and last a long time if they are carefully moved around by the owner. If your stuff gets hand-bombed into the back of a truck by strangers on a regular basis, then you need something heavier.
I decided against the MB500 because I could trip the limiter on hard peaks with my cabs. I don't normally play quite that loud, and it didn't hurt the amp, but I could hear the limiter working.
The 800 hits hard enough to damage most cabs, unless you are careful. I've never gotten close to triggering the limiter, never mind clipping the output. It runs cool when driven hard, even outdoors in bright sunlight.
It's quite a bit louder than an SVT. If that's not enough, then a rack setup with a big power amp is pretty much your only option.
The thing I've noticed about Class D amps, GK and the old Ampeg Portabass Class D units, is that they don't like having the master overdriven. An engineer at Ampeg told me to turn the master up full, then use the pre as your actual volume control. I've found this applies to GK as well.
