As of yesterday morning, my order for a 1001RBII and two 212NEO's has been placed. Playing the waiting game now and I'm failing miserably. Can't wait. Thanks again to those that threw in their two cents!

I'm currently using a GK NEO 212 cabinet with a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0, and it´s not quite what i expected. The limiter is going at it every time I play a gig. Is that ok?
I'm interested in geting the GK 1001RB-II or even the 700RB.
And also getting another cab. A NEO 112 or 115. But looking at the cab dimensions I saw that the 115+212 stack doesnt fit just right.
What do you think it would be better??

If you get another cab, I would try to match drivers. As in, you have a 212 already, so get another 212. That's what I would do. I'd also get the 1001rb to push them. The 700 is a great amp and does break up earlier which yields some usable drive sounds, but the 1001rb has clean headroom for days. Just depends on which way you want to take it. Me, I'd go with another 212 and the 1001.

I'm sure the 212 can handle the 1001, but you will want to be very careful at high volumes. That amp could probably shred that cab if it wanted to. But you should be fine as long as you're careful. That's a lot of amp for a little cab.

You won't be disappointed with that rig... should be able to blow out candles at 50'.
Anyone here use an Fdeck HPF 3? I'm thinking of getting one, but don't know if it'll help. My EQ doesn't seem to be too extreme, but I get very boomy at around noon on my 700RB and MB200. Anybody use one and what are your thoughts?
I use a series 1 with my 1001. Can't reply offer advice as I don't even notice a change in anything. People say it makes a difference. But I can't tell.
Finally got the 1001RB II NEO 212 combo back from the shop.
I got an email from GK stating that the combo was built in 2006, and the red painted logo must have been done after it left them. Such a powerful and great sounding combo. Very portable as well. Can't wait to bring it to band practice. I might even bring the GK NEO 112 cabinet as well. That would be a monster 312 @ 4 ohms.

Holy crap that is AWESOME!!!! Well I neva! Great concept for a rig. Quite powerful for a 212, but like you said, if you added a 112 to that, that would be ridiculous. How the heck did you happen upon this wonderful piece of gear???
Turns out that the 400RB I just bought was found to be defective by a TB'r before shipment and he refunded the $$. Great to deal with honest folks. The other RB series amps I can find for sale locally or here are pricey in my book. If nothing coms up in the next week I'll just order a MB500.

There is a PF500 thread where some have said that Ampeg 500 watt digital amps don't seem to have the same heft as a standard amp all things considered. In fact that poster said it was a weak 500 watts.
One thing is for sure, the GK non-digital amps put out tons of power. I used my 100 watt combo to drive a 2x15 at rehearsal last night and it was great.

I had a vague recollection that the 700 was 380w.
IME, there's nothing lacking in terms of heft, when it comes to the G-K micros. I haven't seen any hard numbers on the 500, but the 800 benches at a couple of hundred over rated power, and my MB200 hits harder than any other 200 watt amp I've tried.
Agreed on the 200! Maybe the 700RB-I had 380 watts? RAG likes to up wattage with newer revisions, it would seem.
