NAD Fender Bassman 25

I saw this Bassman 25 advertised for < $100, and I couldn’t resist.
It’s one of my favorite little amps, and they’re not as common anymore.

I know the newer Rumble series are much lighter, and I have a Rumble 500 combo, but there’s something about the Bassman 25 that sounds really good to me. I also really like the kickback feature.

Whoever designed this amp should get a medal or something. The built in compression lets it get very loud for its size and rating , but more importantly, this amp just sounds really good.

The mids are present without being honky and it nails that velvety Pbass sound perfectly.

This one looks essentially brand new.

Of all the bass combos that Fender has made over the years, the Bassman 25 is my favorite also.

True story: I had one for awhile back in the day and used it as a stage monitor (I ran a DI to the soundboard) and it was not only shockingly loud but it sounded absolutely incredible. I did this for a few gigs while my main amp was in the shop and I really didn’t miss it. Thinking back I don’t remember why I don’t have it anymore as it was easily the best sounding small combo I’ve heard to this day.

Nice score. This tiny guy sound nicer than all my previous Rumble V1 100/210, V2 70/112 and V3 200/115.

Even woth 10s driver, she sound just juicer and Bassman-ist. On 3 o'clock volume , she has equal loudness as my single Ampeg 112 at 1 o'clock volume setting without fart.

The natural scoop tone never sound blank or missing something as all Rumble with all EQ knob at noon.
