New Lakland 55-AJ

if the top is as thin as in case with 94-s, the difference is, according to Dan Lakin, purely visual. But, the AJ has different kind of pickups (linear humbucking), and its LH-3 pre may have a different voicing as well
The Skyline AJs have the Bart MK1 pre, Denis; the US models have the LH3. Both have the Hanson J pickups.

Okay, it only lists US-made instruments (I didn't notice before), so you may /must be right about Skylines, but the piclups are J hum-cancelling, i.e. linear humbucking.

you got me, partner(s). Live and learn, comrade Lenin taught.
So it is:
- LH-3 linear humbucking Vintage J pickups, LH-3 pre for US version. Other pickups and preamp available on request (as common with Lakland);
- LH SC J pickups, Bartolini MK-1 pre on Skylines, LH-3 pups/pre combo available at upcharge (as well as CS)
