I was under the impression that electric/electronic devices have to state the maximum power they're drawing from the wall for fire safety reasons. I would believe the 350W output rating to be more likely to be interpreted liberally for marketing purposes. Wouldn't an amp that nominally says it...

Quick question about the pf-350: why does it claim on the back to draw 100W from the power outlet if it's rated at 350W of output? Is that an error?

Futureshop.ca and bestbuy.ca are clearing these out at 299cdn, so I grabbed one. Now I need a head to go with it; obviously the pf350 comes to mind, but I am concerned about the possible fan noise, since I will only be playing this at home. Should I look for a fanless design instead?

Thanks!... Yes, this one sounds good all around. The G string sounds a little thin, but maybe it needs to be played a bit. What strings do you guys put on your SG basses?

Update: the tech at the shop couldn't fix it and they sent it back to Gibson; now I'm waiting for a new one to show up.
