Sounds like something you could parallel process if you somehow got the output into your DAW then layered that signal with your actual bass signal with the highs scooped out for your boombox clip. That way you will have the high quality lown end boom of your real bass signal with the high end...

Amplitube is great for what it is for an all around solution but as a bassist I'm pretty dissapointed you cannot utilize your own IR files with it. You're locked into theirs. Otherwise I actually very much love brainworx and Amplitube because they are still very decent.

Can I just chime in on a word of advice? I do like what branworx does, my only gripe is I can't use my own IR Files which is why most of my choices have IR loders in the amp plugin itself so I can have the ampeg sound or any other impulse response of any other brand of bass cab. What I'm...

If you like Darklass ultra, then I highly advise you check out Blackice Beta Gamma as well. I personally like it more than I like Darklass ultra.

I thought Markbass Studio 2, Softube Eden & brainworx Bassdude was decent for cleaner tones. Used a bit of Kush Reddi DI box as well. Didn't have any real issues with any of them, thought they sounded great. I just don't need as many cleaner tones is all.
