Yeah, I posted my first impressions here: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/aliexpress-custom-build.1598359/post-28684326 it is unfortunately cosmetically damaged and potentially unplayable due to a design flaw. I have a part to try fixing it, I’ll post again when I get a chance to install it.

I’m hoping that a stealth string retainer will hold it down enough to keep it from popping out. I’ve got one coming on Monday, if that works then I’ll be pretty happy.

I never did get a follow up on shipping, so I asked this morning and he said that it has shipped, so that's cool. He didn't offer a tracking number, so I asked and we'll see what happens there. Hopefully it'll show up soon, anyway.

Another update, I confirmed my address and it should ship tomorrow!

I reached out Sunday and he got back saying that he would be on the shop floor that day and would try to get an update for me. To my surprise, I haven't heard anything since. :ninja: I'll reach out again next week.

Looks like they got the hardware installed! I requested no electronics so other than strap pins it looks done to me; we'll see how long it takes to get shipped...

New update from yesterday! I requested no electronics so I'm not sure what's left, but progress is progress! Upon closer inspection it doesn't appear to have strap pins yet. Guess I won't see it this summer 🤷‍♀️
