The BB234 is my first and only bass - besides putting EMG Geezer pickups, Hipshot Ultralite tuners and a Hipshot Bad Ass bridge on it with my own pickguard dedsign - I love it!

If that's true I wouldn't want a softer string tension than the LaBellas provide. It's a good balance and I like the tone, which can be altered as it is.

Totally agree - a dark filler like would look good and work with any oil based finish. Alternately, Walnut stain makes sense as it evens out uneven wood tones which are common - unless it will be darker than you like. Go gradually and you find the perfect color you want. I love Walnut...

Using packaging foam is whast EMG recommends asnmd what I did with my Geezer install. A bit clunky with all the mechanical choices we might have but it works. Hope you get yours installed and love 'em as much as i do!
