The only thing I've noticed that makes the switch change anything is if the mid knob is turned up

I've had this Ibanez Soundgear SR-750 since 2012, and in all that time I've never been able to determine what the switch or the knob just above it(in the image) do. I assumed the switch was an Active/Passive switch, but the eq knobs still work in either position, and it doesn't seem to be a...
