I just bought a Sadowsky Metero Express PJ5 for right around $1000. I think it is great and gives me a 5 string P bass option. Color is Metallic, fire engine red but picture looks more maroon. Fits me perfectly, Weight is 9 lb 2oz, and barely noticable.

For more warmth with a wide range of options check out an EBS ValveDrive which has a tube. Simple could be a Tech 21 Prar Drive or Bass DI, or Ampeg SGT-DI. There are more options than most have money for.

Somebody please help. Years ago I remember seeing images comparing and showing pickup placement for P, Jazz, Musicman, etc., but cannot find it. Hopefully somebody has one they can give to me. Thanks in advance, Don
