So Thank you Wendy. She says it is 1897. That makes perfect sense. Does anyone know the year a B 5 #1897 was made? Thank you! Bruce

I recently got an Epiphone B5 and would also love to know the date it was manufactured. It was made in NY for sure and it says B 5 on the badge. When I look at the serial number, I read 7897, but that last character is an odd looking 7.
