    The best low cost short scale bass I have ever owned is ...

    Jay Turser, "beatle" bass. Far and away the lightest, easiest playing bass I've ever had. The expensive, so called "quality basses" will come and go, but I'll never part with the Turser. PS the Turser doesn't have a dead spot. How many Fenders can say that? Hum

    "Married" to the same bass for almost 50 years

    I bought a new BC Rich, Eagle bass with twin humbuckers from Leo Quan Music in Oakland in 1977 when I was 25. I sold it few years ago for a lighter weight short scale. So much for sentiment. But I'm still rocking.
