I can see you didn't read recent post at the time but you read my mind: Amps. I'm not gigging, just a house player, and I live in a condo so I don't want anything I have to crank to get optimal tone from. Perhaps this is just a tube amp issue. In fact it may be better to start a new thread...

Disregard my last post. It was fault on my end, attaching files too big. Here are pics as requested.

Yeah, I tried to upload JPEG pics and it gave me a failure message. Thought it was an issue with my phone settings so I tried the laptop. No dice. Anyone help me with this, or is this the FNG treatment? ;)

Update: Went to a local store yesterday to try out some basses. Played two MIM standards ( a 2008 and a 2009), an American standard (can't remember the year), and a classic vibe 60's (2013). All jazz basses. All were them were nice in their own right. The MIA and MIMs were at a disadvantage...

What was the big difference between the standard and the deluxe, other than active pickups? Also, can you describe the VM in terms of quality compared to the other two?

What pickups would you suggest?
