    Music Man HB pickups

    Cort Action HH5 bears a passing resemblance, and something I’ve been giving serious thought to as a second bass for metal. The Sterling Stingray 5 costs about 50% more in Australia and I can’t justify the extra spend at my novice skill level.

    Bass compressor would seem like the obvious choice to me. I’m building my first bass pedalboard and everything sounds better behind the Boss BC-1X.

    I’ve just picked up one of these from a Brisbane shop, stepping up from my Ibanez “learner bass” (also 32”). Chose it mostly for the aesthetic (I’m an 80s girl) but what an upgrade!
