BTW, I had the cage off earlier today and noticed that there appears to be a hum dial in the top of the chassis behind the silver transformer. Can someone please explain how to use the hum dial? Thanks!

It arrived this week. 1967 Ampeg SB-12. I wasn't prepared for the sonic impression that this little single 12' amp would have on my ear. I plugged it in and played it for literally a minute, and thought to myself "so that's how all those guys got that sound on all of those iconic recordings"...
