Easy now. I left Warwick for Sire. Am I a fool?

5 biz days. Both basses needed a good setup with the V7 Vintage 5 from Thomann being the worst by far. They were playable, but the first one needed truss rod and string height adjustments. The V7 5 I recently got from Sire was mostly setup but I just lowered action a bit. Intonation was perfect.

Both of my Sire V7's shipped strung-through the body.

What Warwick model do you have? What issues did you have with your Sire? I've found little fault between both of my current Sires (V7 5 Alder/Rosewood Tobacco Sunburst and V7 Vintage 5 Alder/Maple Antique White). Both basses are made damn well and easily stack up against any MIA Jazz, minus...

Thanks! For this bass to "wow" me enough to endorse the company, especially after being with Warwick for so long, says something (at least to me). I didn't have to think about this decision really, it "felt right" from the start and I'm happy and proud to say I endorse Sire basses! Cheers!

Ebony has more initial attack than maple. It can be slightly brittle in the upper registers as well. Ebony is a good match for a Swamp Ash body, generally speaking.

I don't think people realize just how good these Sire basses really are. To the ones that don't know any better, all they're seeing is "hype" and I guess it's just too hard to believe. However, I'm certainly a believer now.
