Thanks, but as I said I already googled (a lot!) and have also checked that page before. Not helpful. Can you find a matching format for the given serial number in that page? It starts with letter I (Indonesia) followed by 7 numbers.

I'm having a hard time trying to decode this serial number: I9090967 I bought this bass around 1999, don't remember the exact year though. It's an Ibanez GSR200 made in Indonesia. I googled for some directions on how to decode this serial number but could not come up with a sure solution...
