I went with the GHS Precision Flats and had a whole setup done by a luthier. This thing is a BEAUTY!!!

Best Strings for Classic EB-O Sound?

What a nightmare! I just found these on ebay and ordered them. Not really a light gauge person, but I guess we'll see what happens.

Best Strings for Classic EB-O Sound?

Pain in the ass with some of these strings. Damn packages don't say the scale. My bass has a 30.5 neck. Any ideas which short scale flats will fit that? And the darker, the better.

I’m pretty sure they are, as the threading ended about an half an inch above the nut.

Well, the bass was made is 2017. So it’s not that old. He said they MIGHT be GHS Boomers. ?

    Can Anyone ID These Strings?

I know it’s not much to go on, but it’s all I have. They came off a short scale bass. I love the way they sound and feel but the original owner isn’t sure what they are.

    Bad Pickups???

Problem solved! Seems like when I plugged the cable into the guitar, something was hitting the shielding paint inside the cavity and messing everything up. Turned the jack around and all is great again! Thanks for the suggestions, everyone!
