Hi. I'm looking for a nice bass overdrive that is very mild, slightly edgy, and warm. Something suitable for punk. A good example of what I'm looking for is the bass on Nice Guys Finish Last by Green Day. I don't really want boutique, and I sorta need it cheap. :p I also own a Digitech...

well, the only pets i had were some fish and hermit crabs; i also had a dog, for one week..before we had to get rid of it..so i never really got the chance to "bond" with an animal...just my bass =D

I recently bought a 2 pack of .45 Dean Markley Blue Steel's at GC for only $19.99. The staff working there told me they were very bright, which suits the genre of music I play (punk). So, I restrung my bass with them, replacing my old Rotosounds. Boy, they were right, they are extremely bright...

nope, i use these on my squier jazz and they work fine, so you should be good.

Hmm, never played the 6 string GSR before. But then again, I haven't played any of the Ibanez GSR's. There's a reason - they're entry level (or budget model) basses. If I were you, I'd avoid them. But if you dig the tone, then go for it.
