Ibanez GSR 206

Anybody have experience with these? I have been checking one out for a few days, and I am very impressed! It has a wonderful flat neck, and a very active Jazz Bass sort of tone. for $300, it is awfully nice.

Hmm, never played the 6 string GSR before. But then again, I haven't played any of the Ibanez GSR's. There's a reason - they're entry level (or budget model) basses. If I were you, I'd avoid them. But if you dig the tone, then go for it.

That's it. I picked one up just to goof around, and the tone floored me. It has one of the best "jazz" tones I have ever heard on a six.

I may have to check it out a few more times. My experience is that sometimes I love the tone of a cheap bass, but if I play it long enough, it becomes obvious just how cheap it is.

Man, if these were out years ago when I bought my GSR200 I'd probably be a completely different kind of bassist.
