eBay Issues: Buyer wants $450 for fret level

Thanks for the input, after all this time has passed I just find giving a refund unreasonable and I find "splitting" $450 for a repairs cost to be unreasonable, for something I have service proof and a video of me playing it with no problems the day of packaging. Is there other ways the buyer...

eBay Issues: Buyer wants $450 for fret level

Even if I told him he could return it? obviously this was a while back when I wanted it returned ASAP, but now so much time has passed and the fact I stated NO RETURNS has changed my mind

eBay Issues: Buyer wants $450 for fret level

Well, after 2-3 weeks of radio silence from the buyer he has gotten back to me yet again after I provided him quotes from fretleveing/pleking in his area. He says that half of the 450 was for a plek and the other half was for a heat-bend "IF" it needed one. It has been well over the 45 day mark...

eBay Issues: Buyer wants $450 for fret level

and I have sold many things on CL---- CL rules above eBay on all accounts. Simple, Upfront, No BS- a sale that's done is done. (smcd's accusations and defensive posts begin now....)

eBay Issues: Buyer wants $450 for fret level

I do not wish to disclose the original auction link as a reason of privacy/issues with the buyer if they find out (would u want a buyer seeing this thread and possibly f*&@ing up your bass before returning it????) - Im sure any of you can understand that... On a second message to the buyer I...

eBay Issues: Buyer wants $450 for fret level

You pay eBay that percentage for protection....which sellers don't seem to be getting. I accepted the 13% knowing I would be protected. But now that I know the truth about eBays buyer protection, I can see why so many aren't happy with what they have to pay for a one-sided protection...

eBay Issues: Buyer wants $450 for fret level

Actually, Ive had 99% of my greatest sales happen over craigslist. You sell for the price you want or your buyer can look elsewhere. Dealing person to person is also much safer in terms of scammers/3rd party fees/protection BS...hey, its been done that way for thousands of years and if you...

eBay Issues: Buyer wants $450 for fret level

I knew I would be covered if I waited for the funds to clear before shipping, which I did

eBay Issues: Buyer wants $450 for fret level

Buyer had 0 feedback...won the bid 5 secs before end (...and created an ebay account the day off) Did a check up on the person and appears to be a legitimate musician though

eBay Issues: Buyer wants $450 for fret level

The bass was listed as having no truss rod, as to be clear to potential buyers. Even then I also believe unleved frets can still be leveled properly, whether it is a ski jump on the heel or buzzing on individual strings

eBay Issues: Buyer wants $450 for fret level

Ive heard that eBay never sides with sellers though, and I doubt the Indian eBay Claims outsourcer will understand clear knowledge of fret buzzing and fret work

eBay Issues: Buyer wants $450 for fret level

Sold a bass and 10 days after the buyer has had the bass in possession he says that theres fret buzz on all strings below the 12th fret. He says that rather than wanting to return it because he likes the bass so much he would like me to pay 450 bucks, which a guitar repair shop quoted him to...

BEST, FLEXIBLE, FAST Strings for MM

Whats everyones opinions on the best strings for a Musicman Style bass Im a fan of the GHS Boomers, but they tend to die out fast and start to feel stiff What are good strings that are somewhat flexible (as if you were playing on a neck pickup of a jazz) but are bright and fast playing for...
