Of course, but I'm not talking about getting the same gauge in a 5 or 4 string pack. I'm just not sure whether or not getting a low B string at 125 gauge is going to be too much for tuning that B to C or if I should just go with a 4 string pack with a 115 or 120 gauge E string instead.

I like the amp, I did research on tubes as I want to get a new one and back ups as I also bought the amp used so I don't know if the tube has ever been changed. I also want to experiment with new tubes.

How about volume, will 700 watts still be pushing air? I know I haven't even pushed my Hartke to its full 1000 watts as that would kill someone, but is the GK 1001rbii still plenty loud? All the venues we play at either mic the cab or DI anyways but it's still nice to have an amp with power.

The Hartke can be split up with 500 watts per side but I bridge it into my Mesa for the full 1000 watts.
