Turns out fresh batteries did the trick! Thank you guys for the help!

It could be the batteries, but it made a kind of high pitch sound before it stopped working which makes me think a capacitor in the guitar has blown out. I'm going to put some fresh batteries in to see if that helps.

Hey I've got a question about my new big al 4H that I just bought used...I think I've blown a capacitor in the 18 volt preamp. Can anyone tell me different? Im also pretty sure it's the bass because it plays through my amp In passive mode.
