3 Band preamp with pickup selector?

Hello all,

I've been building a bass and Ive been looking for a preamp to put in it. I was hoping to go with an Aguilar or Nordstrand 3 band preamp. I'd even go for a stingray preamp, but I can't find them anywhere with the pickup selector switch. The Aguilar and Nordstrand have what I want but they don't have a switch, they only have a blend, which I don't like. I'll have 2 MM style humbuckers in the bass. Is there a way to modify one of those brands of preamp to have the switch instead of the blend? I also have professional soldering experience and can make my own bread board, I just need schematics. Any help appreciated.

If the blend potentiometer is before the preamp then eliminate the blend pot and connect the output from the pickup selector to whichever wire went from the blend pot to the preamp input.

Do you have a wiring diagram for one of the preamps you want to use that you can post?

Yep, it’s super easy. Pickups -> Selector switch -> Preamp input -> Volume pot -> Output jack. Or, if you want the option of an active/passive switch, then put the volume between the selector switch and the preamp input, although it will darken the tone a bit.

I used a Les Paul style switch as a pickup selector in this bass:
