A little while ago I posted here asking for feedback on a visual metronome idea.

I kept working on it, tried a bunch of things, took some of the feedback here on board, and somehow it turned into this.

It’s called Swing Arc. A visual metronome built around motion rather than just flashing beats.

Honestly, I think it's turning into a pretty cool little app.

It runs in the browser, no install, no ads, completely free:

That’s really cool. Well done! I like these basses subdivisions for odd time signatures. What is the offset for?

Thanks! The offset shifts the motion relative to the beat without changing the tempo or subdivision. At 0%, the beat lines up with the lowest point of the motion. Changing the offset shifts where the beat falls within that motion. It lets you experiment with how the same rhythm feels when the motion is shifted in time.

The cat setting is the best. I'm going to show this to my wife who is learning to play piano and really needs help with her timing. Very cool idea. Keep us updated on any changes.

Thanks for the heads-up. It might be related to frame rate or browser/device timing at higher tempos. I’ll look into it.
