    CNC bits for pearl...?

"So it's double thickness Ab-lam-inated feathers in sheet form...that you attach to a backer to support cutting it via CNC?" I wish it were double thickness, and it isn't/wasn't, a perfect walk in the park. I ran into thickness issues in my applying finish after... ultimately it wasn't sunken...

    CNC bits for pearl...?

It's not MOP, but pretty exotic looking stuff! https://a.co/d/0hEdFcEf I have some finished pics of a bass I finished last year if you'd like to see them.

    CNC bits for pearl...?

Hello Rock! Definitely agree with Bruce here. For me the real trick was to size the backer piece accordingly to the depth of your inlay. I started my CNC journey a few years ago and found this good video on the subject: He includes the general but correct bits and ball park feeds and...

Looking for a supplier for Swamp Ash and Paulownia body blanks

Years ago I called them directly and they found me a match. Wasn’t an up charge either.

Most popular fret wire from Jescar for basses?

My standard, like Bruce is Jescar's FW37080S. Years ago I tried a Jazz bass with them and was hooked on the low feel to the fretboard feeling. Also had an MTD 535 with them as well.

Guyker or other Headless hardware - Starting point

With that Aluminum version it does look like they tweaked or improved on the design a bit. Hmmm, I like lighter weight for sure.

Thanks RonC72! Both ETS and ABM seem like great options, not just for headless either :).

Guyker or other Headless hardware - Starting point

Thanks Alex! While over at Aliexpress I also saw a few others at good price points as well. Some may be worth the cost just for experimentation.

Guyker or other Headless hardware - Starting point

Hello fellow bass builders... I'm in the contemplation stage of possibly giving a headless build a try. I wonder if a lot has happened in the last few years for good headless kits. there's a standard looking design like this Guyker one I've seen which is a copy no doubt. This for about 100...

Using water based products for instrument finishing, Target Coatings 9000 6000 and Varathane WB

Not to detract from this question above too far, but Bruce did you ever get this quick mix for opaque at HD and spray also?
