Yeppers, checked that too, but they stopped those a few years before the neck in question

    '17 Jaguar bass neck

Im looking at a Fender Jaguar bass neck on fleabay. An amber long scale with black blocks but no binding and the serial number year is throwing me off. Starts with a CGF17 but can't find any jag basses with that neck from that year. Closest would be a Modern Player but they stopped making that...

Of the two Hags i have, my '67 measured about 12k, and my '69 measured 6k, how did you measure the magnetic strength?

Engineering question for using 3 Pickups -

A second volume (one extra pot grounded) will add more loading, would one master volume work for you? Yeah setting it as a rheostat doesn't vary the sound much, one of the reasons the Blend function on the Tele didn't stick

Engineering question for using 3 Pickups -

With the three pots ungrounded it's not loading as three grounded pots would, no build up of resistance of multiple pots, you can blend each pup in like todays MN ungrounded blend pots. What are you wanting to do with it? Replace with just master volume or add MN blend pots

Does this saddle line-up mean anything?

Isn't it a thin .039? Lighter tension strings would need less distance from the nut to achieve intonation compared to .045

Is it true what they say about basswood bodies?

Read a while ago it's called basswood because they use to make bobbers for fishing with it, had a woodworking friend who would laugh at me because i pronounced it basswood like the instrument, not the fish

I'm surprised...I like "sort of" high action on my bass....that's unusual for me.

That sounds like a normal height of 5/64 to 6/64, i personally go a touch lower

Warmoth parts bass and a question of a resistor value wired straight to jack for Model J pickup

Connect the 'volume' resistor parallel to the pickup, one end to the tip for the jack and the other end to ground. For the tone pot emulation, add a resistor and cap of choice in series together and parallel to the first resistor

Is there something wrong with my bass wiring?

Can only suggest look at the balance pot, especially the end where the buzz occurs, maybe a bad/cracked solder joint

    Electronic mute?

Not sure if this would be what you're looking for, but i have a vintage bass (250k single volume only) and it throws a 12k resistor parallel to the pot and it really lowers the sustain, more than a mute

Gibson EB (2018) Pickups and Volume Taper

Or replace it with a 'vintage taper' pot from Fender or Mojo, I'm using a Fender 300k EJ pot, its like a 250k with 20% over tolerance and has the taper i mentioned

Gibson EB (2018) Pickups and Volume Taper

Sounds like you have the standard 10% taper pots that's really bad for blending together, switch to linear or vintage taper pots is my suggestion The pups are still loading each other when the neck is at 0, so the neck is never really off, doesn't the EB have a 3 way? if the pups were coupled...
