I really like that color. Very nice looking Foundation 5.

A Peavey Milestone J/J came up on GC's used site a few days ago. It was listed as fair but looked better in the photos. No obvious wear. It was listed at $99 so I bought it. It arrived and it was in poor playing condition. Lots of forward bow on the neck, bass was very loaded with dirt as...

Foundation 2000 basses were clearly marked on the headstock. Body shape was similar to the USA Millennium basses. https://uhlikmusic.com/2000-peavey-foundation-fretless-5-string-blue-rare/

Which bass? The Axcellerator has a Wilkinson bridge and the Cirrus has the segmented bridge which is not the 2tek.

There is a nice looking Axcelerator 5 on Guitar Center's site. I have one in the black sparkle finish and enjoy it very much. These basses have VFL pickups....but Peavey used the 4 string pickup for the 5 string basses so adjustment of pickup height is critical for good B string response. I...

The potential for damage is when you use connectors that are not Neutrik brand. There have been instances of the brown and green Neutrik connectors failing to make good contact but no damage was done to the speaker connectors. Absolutely avoid knock off speakon connectors Some of them may...

"but with Peavey, one never knows!" Ain't that the truth! IMO the wheel adjuster is very much superior to the more typical truss rod nuts used in most basses. I have several Ernie Ball Bongo basses and that wheel adjustment is just wonderful. However, I also have a USA Cirrus 5, an...

James Demeter is not an easy guy to deal with. He may or may not respond in a reasonable time or may not respond at all.

You might compare it with the following info on the Demeter onboard bass preamp before changing it out. I might be a Demeter. I had a Roscoe bass with a Demeter preamp and it sounded fantastic. https://demeteramps.com/product/beqp-1-onboard-bass-eq-preamplifier/

THE BONGO CLUB (Part 2, 3 and infinity)

I've not had good experience with White Tapes on any bass and have not tried them on my Bongo basses. I use LaBella Deep Talkin' Bass set 760FS-CB on 6's and 760FS-B on 5's. They are wonderful sounding and feel fantastic on the Bongo basses.

Mesaboogie tt800 and two subway 112 cabs having unexpected distortion

The mid voicing on the SW112 did not work well for me. I have a pair of SW 115's and could not be happier. They are amazing and very much hi fi sounding cabinets. They are unlike ANY other 115 cabs that I have heard. No muffled lows, nothing missing and very clear/clean sounding. Want lots...

    Genzler Magellan 350 - Thoughts?

I own a lot of amps including several Mesa Subway heads and the Magellan 800 and 350 and the Kinetix. The Mesa D-350 and the Megellan 350 have different tone characteristics but they share one trait and that is that they both push a lot more air than you would expect. the Mesa has more...

I still use an Aguilar GS 112 at church. It sounds great.

"Have also owned several Ibanez GWB fretless basses (all best quality Japanese FG models) in the interim. Never liked their tone, fit, electronics, weird triangular tuners, etc. Gave all the benefit of the doubt for months, but released them back to the gear stream for someone else to catch. Not...

Thanks for correcting me. I had completely forgotten about the Zeqhyr.
