    Hello. Thanks for a good question. As I mentioned, I got this from a college senior, and I heard that the stamp was 7 Sep or Oct 1962. Sometimes the stamp is naturally removed over time or while using the guitar. It was not removed intentionally.

    Thank you for the good advice! However, do you mean that all the '62 basses should have slab board? As I know, it is not. Since mid-1959, Fender had been using a slab board rosewood fretboard, but at the mid-to-late '62 (maybe from June or July), they started to use veneer fretboard as my neck...

    I`m not sure, but the router hump is a small hump in the cutaway area where the curve of the router. Some are round bumps, and others are just flat areas.
