I can't find out anything else on it . It is marked as special edition on the back of the headstock and with the translucent body finish and prominent grain I am not so sure it is alder ...though fender does laminate the sunburst bodies with maple.

Yeah that is it. I found that page but the description doesn't seem to match. It is kind of generic.
