Sorry but im not very familiar with repairs. I was speaking about the overstand. Does anyone happen to know how serious or not serious that repair is. I am aware that a new bridge and fingerboard wouldnt be major surgery I was just kinda giving a bit of and overview on my experience with the bass.

Thanks for all the reply's. I just got back from playing the bass and there are a few things I'm concerned about. The endpin is non existent, not that big of a deal. The fingerboard is very thin an flimsy. The bridge has a crack in the middle, it looks almost like someone did this intentionally...

Jason I definitely know what you mean. If I took it into the shop ( St. Louis Strings) do you think they could tell me whether it would be worth putting the money into fixing it up. I mean do you think they could give a rough idea as to how it will sound or play after the work is done.
