Are You A Better Musician Than You Give Yourself Credit......

I'm just now reaching the point where I may try to start playing out with a band. Been playing bass for two wonderful years. I've always been able to copy lines and play them reasonably accurately with few errors after a bit of practice, its my lack of ability to learn by ear and my very poor...

    Peavey T-40 Club Part 2

Update: So the previous owner wired the jack in backward, and somehow I didn't notice. I switched the wiring and shes as quiet as you would expect. I still need to replace that jack once the replacement arrives, and put on the tuning key I got of the 'bay for $13 :hyper:. As far as the tone...

    Peavey T-40 Club Part 2

The electronics issue I have is that when I'm not touching anything grounded (pots, bridge, ect) its dead silent. But when I touch them, the bass starts buzzing. Any pointers? Edit: The jack is also messed up, only works if you hold the cable against the jack. Will replace and report back.

    Peavey T-40 Club Part 2

It sounds very nice. I enjoy the tones I've gotten so far, especially in a mix. I've got some wiring/grounding/jack issues to play with still. Here is what the fret board looked like for comparison: t40 fret by CliffEllefson posted Dec 4, 2015 at 8:40 PM And here she is in all of her brown...

    Peavey T-40 Club Part 2

I forgot to mention that my poor T40 has (had;)) finish over the sharpie as well. I took it off with a razor, will post pics tonight. Now the fret board actually looks maple instead of that grey color.

    Peavey T-40 Club Part 2

Im very excited to join the t-40 cult here on TB! Just got this in the mail today. Some idiot defiled the poor fret board with sharpie, but i'm going to figure out how to fix it soon enough. I was going to change the brown back to natural, but I actually really like it, and it make the bass...

    NBD(almost)- 1982 T-40

Yeah supposedly the fret board was finished over the marker. Any ideas on how to remove the finish so I can get rid of the marker? Ive heard a razor blade works ok if you carefully scratch it off and refinish after. The body does look nice, and ads some mojo for sure;). Really excited to own a...

    NBD(almost)- 1982 T-40

I was in the market for a T40 because of all the great things I have heard about them off of TB. In my search I came across this gem :vomit:, and inevitably had to pull the trigger as it was a deal to good to pass up. Obviously it has some... well issues. Notably an owner at some point...

Morley M2 Cliff Burton Fuzz Wah

Just bought it. Went through pit bull audio, offered 135 and it was instantly excepted. Sweet deal highly recommend them, you could probably go lower.

I'm pretty stoked. Going to buy one today. I almost bought an original PWF a few times but i worried it would clunk out on me. Hopefully this sounds as good.
