Has anyone seen a wiring harness similar to the obsidian wire but for the jaguar basses?

I have read threads that fix it by rewiring or replacing. Are there any other solutions which involve keeping the stock pre-amp?

In the market for a Jaguar with the passive/active setup. Came across one from the '80's and then one from '08. Was curious if anyone had any insight and what I could expect if I got either or? Or if you had a preference between the older or newer version?
