    3 Strings Or Less Club

Done with my Loog adventures, made one a duclimer, the other a Thai Phin. They're both super fun and useful too, and for sale :cigar:

Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

These guys drink a magic grain alcohol potion that is the key to hot phin (3 string Thai instrument) licks: I've been biding my time converting these Loog kid guitars, the acoustic is now a dulicmer-tar and the Loogcaster is now an electric phin (pronounced 'pin')

Is this ‘74 Fender JB Neck worth attempting to save?

Years ago I bought a similar year rescue J bass from the nephew of a lady who used to play it at her church, it was pristine except for the same (blocked maple fretboard) neck issue (and a dead pickup). The truss rod on mine was toast and the neck was bowed. I had a couple of reputable luthiers...

    Fret filling glue ?

The fretboards are really light, possibly lighter than the wood @Dark Horse posted above. I'm using wood veneers so I might give the Traslucent stuff a whirl.

    Fret filling glue ?

I've been practicing filling fret slots on 2 different necks with some veneer, i.e. going fretless. Looking for glue recommendations. So far I've used a 2 step CA glue (Loctite) and regular Titebond wood glue. The CA stuff took more work to sand down, but it didn't have a tint to it, the...

    Home/office printer recommendation needed

We need color, so I found a Canon Pixma something on FB marketplace w/ a free laminator thrown in. 35 bucks but the 2 ink cartridges it needed ran me more than that. Install was a BEEEEYOTCH for no good reason, but it's working fine. After this thing dies, we'll buy whichever brand laser printer...

    Home/office printer recommendation needed

We own an old Epson that has decided to be a jerk about the ink cartridges all of a sudden. So not being up to date on the latest scams to extract $$$ from my wallet, I am a little disappointed to see SUBSCRIPTIONS being required on some printers or else they won't print. What in the holy...

The Slate Truck: an affordable, basic vehicle that's made in the U.S. - and it's an EV.

Dang, did you put down a lot of money up front? The solar sales guys frequently ring my doorbell. I always ask them how long until I recoup my $$$ in savings from lower electric bills, that usually shuts them up. BTW, I live in CA and have to deal with PG&E. I'm screwed either way.

    Barefaced 15-24 cabinet

Different strokes 4 different folks I guess. I owned a Super Compact(?) 1x12 w/o the tweeter because it was the best sounding one IMHO from their own demos they put on YouTube. It was very good but I failed to see what the hype was all about especially at the price I paid. It was actually pretty...
