Just to show a great song can be underpinned by just a 2 string bass and kick ass drumming

Nice mod. Do you play it with a slide? What tuning?Mine
Did you find any alternatives? What kind of experimenting?I found this thread while looking at Loogs to do experiments with. Finding cheap ones, like under $50, is difficult. That's about what they're worth IMHO.
Gonna scroll through this thread to find some alternatives... Kudos!
Some ideas for sure, nothing I've acted upon. While looking up ideas for Loogs I found this guy making some nice thingsDid you find any alternatives? What kind of experimenting?

Yeh he's pretty much an icon of the 2 string bass. He gets the job done for sure. Flamboyant chapThis Danish bass player, from one of Denmark's biggest and most popular rock bands "D.A.D", or "Disneyland After Dark", as they originally was called, only needs 2 strings:

And this is one of his most normal/regular looking basses:

It is even mentioned in one of their lyrics:
"He got a 2 string bass,
And a one tracked mind..."
3 strings is more than enuff for sure. The Three String Double BassYou've all inspired me to remove a string from my stick bass (the one in my profile pic). It was made with a plank of wood found at a demolition site and was never really wide enough for 4 strings in the first place. Piezo pickup should be fine as is but I'll have to fashion a new bridge and nut for it.
