    Hey Guys, Was trying to wing it on a recorded song and got lost a few times on which chord was playing and which bass note to play. Question is: when this happens to you in a live situation, do you go back to the key note, go to specific note in the key (safe note) or play nothing? Thanks Cougar

    Yes - 4/4 and V is the first beat of the 3rd measure as GastonD clarified (thanks). It is a gospel song. The guitar player is on a major chord (I chord) on the first 2 measures and also on the V major chord on the 3rd and 4th measures. Cougar
