    Ok, I'll bite. There cheap bases but good bases. do search dude. search works on essex cuz sx too short only 2 letters. get real dude and search. dude, just do it.

    My first Bass?

    SX Jazz - SX SJB-62 or SX SJB-57 $100-130 depending on the color/fretboard I just got one and it's a truly remarkable value for a really good bass. Heck, it costs the same as just the sales tax alone on a "real" Fender Jazz. Save your money for now. Sounds fine right out of the box. Later...

    Fretless. And it's shiny because it has a finish on the rosewood to protect it from getting chewed away by the strings.
