i've been thinking about doing this, just a quick question if i may
which method of fret removal would you recommend?
Place a hot clothes iron on top of the frets to warm up the glue and carefully pull them out with the correct pliers. Invalid Link Removed Use these to ply them. Start at the end. Use slow easy movement as it will want to pull wood with it. You should be very cautious and use a steady hand. I'm sure there's a thread on it here somewhere but I have illustrations if you need them. I can send them.

Nah. Should be fine really.
Play with flatwounds and you can get away with it a bit more, if you play hard with rounds it can ding up with fretboard quite quickly.
What bass you thinking of doing it to mate?

It's a factory Foundation FL (fretless neck) on an early ferrite dyna body.
