You could try the program guitarpro, there are a lot of user created tabs for many different songs and you can mute the tracks and adjust tempo as you see fit. The only thing is that its all midi sounds so your accompaniment is pretty bland.

definately going classic rock, i already knew that, but i'd like to have some variety with some more poppy tunes that i don't really listen to on my own, but go over well in bars. this is what i've been working on.... paranoid nib enter sandman eye of the tiger aces high the trooper...

been lurking around here and the bass for awhile. I've been playing with other musicians trying to get a band going for years but it hasn't worked out for an increasing number of reasons. I've started to think that the only way to find an answer is to improve on bass, and learn more songs...

yeah i didn't want to drill it out but what i did was remove some of the ribbon thread to the point where it was still present but not restricting the string. then i set the string and after adding a bit of tension pulled it through. seems ok, tuned it sharp to let it get tight into position

hey, new user here, I'm putting on a new set on my tobias 5 string, using D'Addario Light Gauge Flat, the B .132 is too wide just prior to the ball to feed into the bridge. It has a ribbon wind on the string and I'm wondering what kind of negative result would this have? any tips?
