I have much more basses than I need. Actually, I have plans to sell five ones. If I am sucessful I will still have more basses than necessary, but the remaining ones will be hard to let go. But that's gonna be a problem for 2021. Happy New Year !

IMHO, it definitely does sound better but, as other people have stated, it is a different animal. I am definitely a bridge only jazz bass lover (with tone mostly rolled off - Jaco way), but to be honest, i consider a P pickup at bridge position a much nicer animal.

It is amazing, specially the bark provided by the P pickup at the bridge position.

One of my basses is a Fender Blacktop Jazz Bass. It has all the Jazz Bass features but its pickups are split coil P style ones. Wouldn't it be a Jazz Bass, even with Fender naming it as one? And what about a G&L jb2? It has all Jazz Bass features but the non offset body. Wouldn't it be a Jazz...

I guess S and L should stand for Short and Long.

I have already got on board. I currently have 5 tributes all 4-string: 2 jb2 (one maple and one rosewood fretboard), 2 L2000 (one maple and one rosewood fretboard) and 1 sb2. They have their own character when compared to fender or musicman basses.
