    Only you can decide where you want to land on the curve of diminishing returns. Is it twice as good as (for example) a Japanese Fender that costs less than half as much? Of course not. Is it enough better than a Japanese Fender to spend the pennies on it? For me, it was.

    It's just a relatively thin coat of whatever Sonic Blue they use at the Lakland factory. The CAR beneath isn't a good primer for the blue to grab hold of, so the blue wears off / scratches off pretty damn easily.

    I'd spend 20 grand on a slew of new and vintage Jazzes and jazz-shaped objects, on a fool's errand to find one that I actually liked the sound of. Then would give up, sell 'em all, and go back to playing a P.
