I've got one of those in storage still, had it since the 90s. It once jumped out of the top of a closet at a roommate (that was their claim lol) I figured the tubes at least were shot but the amp basically didn't care. The floor & the roommates nerves were more damaged than the amp.

Sounds like you need a Coral one with flats. I usually do La Bella but currently have TI on my bronco and it's definitely a different experience than my usual 760FL

I've always had a dislike of thumb /finger rests, I just prefer resting my fingers or thumb on the pickup or string. I find they get in my way more than any benefit.
