Excellent source for Bass Tabs!!!

I wanted to share a fantastic source for bass tabs I’ve discovered. It’s Tiefsaiter’s YouTube channel. Like so many other similar channels, he has play-along tabs on YouTube. What sets him apart from some other channels, and apps like Songsterr and Ultimate Guitar, is that (at least so far in my experience) his tabs are 100% accurate and correct. And to be clear, by 100% correct, I mean not only is he playing the right notes and rhythms, but he’s also playing in the correct position that the actual bassist plays (this is where Songsterr and UG go wrong, even when they get the notes & rhythms right). He’s also done a LOT of songs in a number of genres. So I highly recommend his channel.

Even better, though, is his Patreon. Right now the basic membership is $4 per month, and with that you can download PDFs of all the songs he’s done on the YouTube channel. He provides 2 PDFs for each song: one with the bass tabs and the score, and one with just the score. The PDFs are really well done, and like I said, 100% correct.

For $4.50 a month, you also get a midi file for each song that allows you to bring it into a DAW like Reaper and do things like isolate the bass, remove the bass, and change the tempo of the song. You can either play along with the DAW or use the DAW to make an mp3 recording of what you want to put on your device.

I have no affiliation with this guy (other than I’m a patron of his). This is just the #1 source for bass tabs I’ve tried. I won’t say I’ve tried everything that’s out there (that’s likely impossible), but I’ve used Songsterr & UG a LOT, and I’ve followed a lot of bass YouTube channels over the years.

So go check him out. The YouTube channel is totally free, and will let you know if you dig his tabs and song selection.

I just checked him out. You missed another important point - he has chords notated too. I find transcriptions with chords much easier to understand and memorize,.
Thank you for pointing that out! I totally forgot to mention that. I know UG doesn't put the chords on their tabs, which is super annoying, because you have to look at a separate chord sheet. I don't remember whether Songsterr does.

Thanks for sharing. Luckily, he offers traditional notation (not only tabs) and notates chords as well.He also provides musicxml / midi files on Patreon, in case you need to modify / transpose the sheets. Quality material, suscribed!
