This has probably been asked already but would Elixir SS Nanowebs fit Euro 5LXes? I'm trying to not repeat a situation where the B string's wraps do not fully go over the nut.

I’ll probably get a rack tray and zip tie it or screw it on there. In the meantime, the knock-off Pelican case I got at Harbor Freight will protect it nicely. It’s certainly way better than the carrying bag that the amp came with.

Sorry to bump the thread, but, well, I just got the version 2 of this amp as a back up while my 1001RB-II is in the shop. Quick question; I eventually would like to rack mount this amp; what are some good rack ears for this thing since Peavey does not sell a mounting kit for this amp?

Wow! That's a hot bass. I actually like the green knobs on it; I know they're not original but they really pop against the black pickguard.

I think the majority of Japanese Tune 5ers are 18mm; my PH-5 is 18mm and is very nice for pick playing. Not sure about the Korean 5s, and I know you can order them with Hipshot A style bridges which are variable, but 18 seems to be the standard. OP, congrats on the bass. These are seriously...

ESP Horizon 5 string but with a Hazlab 2 band, EMG 40DCs, and a carbon fiber neck. I mean knowing ESP they can make it work but I need to throw a whole armored truck full of money at them for it to happen.

Warwick, Ibanez, Spector, and ESP. All very instrumental for rock and metal in the 90s. If you want to go back a bit further include BC Rich and Jackson.

Good to know. There you go, OP; get a USA Sub. It is a USA Stingray with a much more durable (albeit ugly to some) finish and a glossy neck (which can be sanded down).

Was gonna say this before my power gave out briefly. USA Subs would be the way to go. Though that said, I remember reading here that the preamps used on Subs at the time were not the same as the classic 2 band but rather the one used on the Sabre. Now is that true or is it complete hogwash?
