Ampeg SVT 450H bad reviews here?

from what I know there is no tube preamp in this head....it is about a 17 year old head....but it is sounding great to me now its linked with the SVT-610HLF bottom....a red light means something good is happening? Seems counter intuitive.

Ampeg SVT 450H bad reviews here?

Went to GC today armed with my Music Man 5 and tried out the Ampeg SVT 7 Pro head and the Ampeg SVT-610HLF cab. Loved the sound, I ended up buying the cab and I just linked it up with my old SVT-400T head and there is a WORLD of difference in quality to the Hartke 4 tens that I'd been using...

Ampeg SVT 450H bad reviews here?

I recently played a house rig that had a Ampeg SVT 450H head and some sort of Ampeg 4X10s. I am currently playing an Ampeg SVT 400T from the mid 90s with 4X10 Hartke cab and that rig I played at the gig blew mine away as far as tone....it was clearer and the lows lows were much more defined (I...

Where can I learn to play like James Jamerson?

As far as what scales he is using ...yes..it is simply either major or minor with additional chromaticism. Sometimes, however, the notes of the major pentatonic scale ,as with most motown in general, are the primary notes utilized.

Where can I learn to play like James Jamerson?

[ I am a roommate with one of the baddest, grooviest drummers in Miami..he made it to the 3rd round of guitar center's drum off the last two years (one year he lost a trip 2 go 2 the fourth round in a tie-breaker). He is black (mentioned just to dispel the myth that all black ppl can dance)...

    music man 5 replacement pickups?

OK. I contacted ebmm with the problem. They said that they are not convinced that it is just a problem with the pickup because in the one position the bass sounds clean. They said, also, that the problem is rare and recommended that i send the bass to them or take it to a tech i trust. I am...

    Update...Changed opinion on Hartke strings

I made a post awhile back how I thought hartke strings were a good deal. They sound decent new...and because they are so cheap (14 bucks for a set of 5) I was sold that it made sense to use them, mainly because i felt like i could afford to change strings more often. However b4 one studio...

    music man 5 replacement pickups?

I have a MM 5 string that I bought new about 16 years ago and I am noticing a couple of problems with the sound. When the pickup switch is positioned forward towards the neck I get some distortion...when it is in the center I hear distortion just faintly and pointed backwards towards it...
